Toledo

Located about 164 km from Medellín, it rises 1,850 meters above sea level between mountains with a cold, temperate and warm climate. With about 6,500 inhabitants, it was founded in 1757 and built as a municipality in 1912. Its economy is mostly rural, based on agriculture and livestock, typical of its broken geography. It stands out for its mountainous landscapes and its strategic location in the north of Antioquia.

Lo que hacemos por Toledo

Toledo has received more than $63 billion in investments that have driven a profound territorial transformation. Environmental and social management, which exceeds $39 billion — including $2,930 million in 2024 — has made it possible to strengthen communities, recover ecosystems and advance projects that improve the quality of life.

In addition to this, there are more than $23 billion in additional social investment, which are key to boosting productive projects, building community leadership and social support. The 1% investment, with $247 million, has boosted environmental compensation actions, while the PAE, with $74 million, has supported contingency care.

Thanks to these resources, Toledo has seen tangible improvements: restored rural roads, intervened schools and hospitals, strengthened aqueducts, active productive projects and restored ecosystems, together with actions such as the generation of local employment, delivery of school kits and response to emergencies, which have left a direct mark on the community.
